everything's happening

welcome to the home of 'everything's happening'

over the last few years i've worked on a lot of different projects, but this is the first one that truly feels like my own. while developing my sound as a musician, i've experimented with a lot of genres and techniques, culminating in this record; the first of a three part series. i've chosen songs that pair well with a particular feeling i'd like to convey: a liminal space somewhere between excitement and fear. the feeling of branching out, growing, exploring unfamiliar places, but worrying that you might break something in the process.

the songs here were written over a period of about four years, and come from various different chapters of my life. some were just made to express myself, others were written with other musicians or band projects in mind. this is a home-grown album, so please forgive any mixing or editing errors! i've collaborated with marcus thompson on "critical symmetry" and george thomas on "one night lover", "money" and "in the gallery", with photography for the project by rosie gunning.
